Technical Service Manager

The Opportunity

  • Provide efficient after sales technical services to clients such as installation, testing, commissioning, repair, corrective measures and preventive maintenance of supplied dialysis machines.
  • Install dialysis machine in accordance to specified commissioning checklist with reference to the Service Manual and Instructions For Use.
  • Conduct start-ups and test run s until the machine is ready for acceptance by the client.
  • Conducts Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Technical Safety Inspection (TSI) to all installed dialysis machines according to PM and TSI checklist with reference to the Service Manual and
    Instruction For Use.
  • Conducts check-up, cleaning and calibration to ensure efficient machine operation and prevent breakdowns.
  • Conducts troubleshooting, corrective and countermeasures to correct and avert machine failure.
  • Repair and Diagnose defective machines and decides what is the most effective intervention or solution to the machine failure or breakdown.
  • Responsible for the preparation of quotation and proposal of spare parts and maintenance requirement of the clients based on the approval of the immediate superior.
  • Responsible for the preparation of necessary documents of every technical activities rendered such as service reports, commissioning reports, preventive maintenance reports and technical
    inspection reports.
  • Responsible for the requisition of spare parts needed for the machines in his area with the approval of the immediate superior and ensures that the installed spare parts are proper and well
    documented (service reports, sales invoice, delivery receipts) and acknowledge by the clients.
  • Provide machine demonstration and presentation to the clients.
  • Provide orientation to the clients on the proper usage of the machines, explaining every part and its functionality.
  • Ensure functionality of the dialysis machine, before, during or upon installation for the benefit of both patient and end-user and prepare honest and accurate technical recommendation and
    documentation to reach customer’s satisfaction which develops company’s integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Inspection
  • Visual inspection of the equipment prior to installation.
  • Ensure the completeness of delivered machine, accessories, user’s manual and peripherals before installation.
  • Check the physical condition of the machine, crates and its boxes.
  • Site inspection
  • Verify the room site or location before the machine installation.
  • Assessment of room size, room ventilation and lighting condition.
  • Verify the power source and line voltage, active grounding system, type of pipes and fittings for water treatment system or reverse osmosis system.
  • Make an accurate report and recommendation signed by the costumer(s) and Field Engineer.
  • Actual Installation
  • Site installation of machine.
  • Testing, commissioning, parameter setting and adjustments, and provide installation/technical service reports signed by the customers(s).
  • Conduct on-site basic training on operational troubleshooting to the end-user(s) particularly dialysis nurses and technicians.

Repair/Service and Maintenance

  • Repair of Machines
    • Formulate Service Protocols which develops individual responsibility for the purpose of proper customer service.
    • Perform technical evaluation and troubleshooting, provide recommendation using the technical service report form and prioritize repair and needed spare parts depends on the situation and necessity.
    • Provide price quotation/proposal address to the costumer/end-user noted and signed by the immediate superior or department head.
  • Maintenance Under Warranty
    • Provide efficient service with complete calibration procedure and perform regular service visit depending on the warranty period agreement between company and customer.
    • Assessment of functional accuracy, provide technical service report and honest recommendation to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintenance Under Contract
    • Offer Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) agreement while explaining to the customer the value of prevention of machine downtime and ensure patient’s safety.
    • Make additional and profitable income in the company which can help to build effective and reliable service department through wide range of service tools and test equipment.
  • Technical Support
    • If needed, attend and support the sales people in any customer concerns, during pre-bid or bidding proper to ensure the correct specifications of the product being offered.
    • Provide technical support to the Product Manager/Specialist during product demo/presentation and help in addressing any technical issues or concerns.

Reports and Monitoring

  • Service Report Files
    • Keep Service Report Files to monitor machine’s status such as: evaluation, installation, repair, service, and maintenance which leads to effective monitoring that can organize and address the concerns of the customer(s).
    • Provide Service Report Forms, PMS checklist and formulate Maintenance Procedures to customer(s) without compromising manufacture guidelines.
    • On time submission of reports to the immediate superior.
    • Attend regular meetings, conventions and trainings to enhance technical knowhow which can resolve different service issues and concerns.
    • Should be courteous, organized, motivated and possess excellent customer service abilities.
    • Escalation of unsolved service issues to the immediate superior or department head.

Requirements

  • Graduate of any four (4) or five (5) year college course, preferably engineering or any technical course.
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Computer literate
  • With at least two (2) years actual experienced in technical support.
  • Experience in Dialysis environment is an advantage.
  • Preferably with experience from the medical industry or medical facilities
  • Skills and Abilities: Good oral and written communication skills, good analytical skills, results oriented, pleasing personality.
  • Working Condition: Minimum 80% field work, once a week reporting to office or as needed.
