Contract Administrator

The Opportunity

  • The Construction Contract Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and facilitating effective communication between project stakeholders.
  • This role involves meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret, and understand contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Facilitate contract negotiations and amendments as needed, working closely with legal and project management teams.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate contract documents, records, and correspondence for each project.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual timelines and deliverables.
  • Track and manage change orders, claims, and disputes related to contracts, providing recommendations and resolutions.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Monitor insurance and bonding requirements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Act as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries and clarifications, providing timely responses to stakeholders.
  • Review invoices submitted to clients.
  • Review and recommend variation requests from subcontractors.
  • Retain and update original project contract documentation for records.
  • Participate in contract reviews of new projects, identifying any gaps in commercial and execution with strong attention to detail.
  • Support project efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil discipline).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Contract/Subcontract Administration.
  • Experience with Philippine government contracts is an advantage.
  • Strong experience in drafting and reviewing agreements and contractual correspondence.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately and professionally.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple quantitatively and qualitatively challenging tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English writing and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Adobe software.
  • Knowledge of Primavera, MS Project, and other planning software is an advantage.
